DAGweb Designz is owned and operated by myself, Pete Gales, and I am a former Internet software engineer. I moved to Sarasota, Florida in August of 1995 to pursue a career in Marine Biology. Once I was in Florida I started to work in a factory six days a week and quickly learned that Marine Biology would not work out. During the fall of 1997, I decided I needed to do something with my life that would better myself and benefit my wife and family. I opted to attend Keiser College to study computer programming. Computers have always intrigued me but I never had the opportunity to use or learn anything about them. After my first computer class at Keiser, my interest and knowledge of computers snowballed. I regularly spent 8-10 hours a day at school learning as much as possible about programming and computers in general. I graduated from Keiser with an Associates degree in June of 1999 as one of the best programmers in my class.
During December of 1998 I was interviewed and hired by a small company called Florida Public Records Online (FLPRO.com). They gave me my first work opportunity to prove what I had learned and allowed me to broaden my knowledge in all aspects of computers from building and networking, to programming and troubleshooting.
In July of 2000 Choice Point Services bought out FLPRO and my knowledge and experience started to pay off. Over the next 34 months I moved up to the Senior Lead Programmer position and was put in charge of projects and personnel. During this time I was exposed to many different technologies and all aspects of running a Internet based business from buying and building computers to building database driven websites that queried half a terabyte of data, to dealing directly with corporate officials.
Since 1997 my knowledge of computers has vastly grown and I continue to learn new technologies on a daily basis. Computers and programming has become a hobby and is a profession I truly enjoy.
